Customization vs. Security Is 2026 the year we lose the "Open" feel? (91 อ่าน)

Hi everyone,
I was recently having a fascinating discussion with a neighbor who is an absolute tech enthusiast about the current direction of mobile operating systems.
As an entrepreneur who relies on high-quality, professional tools to manage my luxury accessories business, I’ve always appreciated the established flexibility that comes with certain platforms.
However, with the latest 2026 security patches being so restrictive, I’m feeling a bit inquisitive about whether we are losing that beyond reproach "open-source" spirit that made the system so popular originally.
Do you think the high-quality trade-off for tighter security is worth losing the inquisitive freedom to customize our own Android:

Hi everyone, you’ve hit on a major dilemma for modern entrepreneurs. As security patches tighten globally in 2026, the freedom to customize and utilize open-source tools is rapidly shrinking.
While these restrictions protect sensitive business data, they undeniably restrict the established flexibility power users rely on to keep workflows creative and nimble.
