Hello fellow trekkers! I'm getting ready for the Everest Base Camp Trek and would appreciate some packing advice. I don't want to carry unnecessary weight, but I also don't want to miss anything important. I'll be trekking with Trek The Himalayas, so I know guides will be available, but I'd still like to hear from experienced hikers. Which clothing layers worked best? How many pairs of socks should I bring? Are gaiters, trekking poles, and water purification tablets worth carrying? I'd also appreciate recommendations for comfortable trekking boots and backpacks. If you've recently completed the trek, please share what you packed that was most useful and what you wish you had left at home. Thanks for your help!
