Choosing a personal injury attorney and what people actually check first (34 views)

I am trying to understand how people pick a personal injury attorney after an accident. Do you look mostly at trial experience, past results or at how clearly the firm explains the process? Curious what matters most in practice.

I went through something similar last year and spent a few weeks comparing firms before deciding. The first thing I checked was whether the attorneys were actually listed by name with their practice areas and the states where they are licensed. On one page I was reading, every lawyer had a short profile covering injury litigation, medical malpractice or multilingual practice in NY and NJ, and if you want an example of how that is usually presented, here is a link worth checking. That kind of structure made it easier to see who would actually handle the case instead of speaking only with an intake line. I would also ask early how the fee arrangement works and how often you get updates, since that seems to be where most complaints begin.
