Construction bidding refers to the method contractors request to outline prices and terms with which the contractor would do a construction project according to indication plans and specifications. Contractors usually bid competitively and usually the owner or developer puts out a bid package. Such bids are then considered on the basis of cost, schedule and qualification. The aim is to get a contractor who is the best value and can satisfy all the technical and project requirements. This can be either an open (publicly advertised) process or selective (invitation) one.
